Chewy Ginger Snap Cookies

Ingredients Needed: shortening brown sugar molasses egg baking soda salt ground ginger, cinnamon, and cloves all-purpose flour

Step One: Cream the shortening and brown sugar in a mixing bowl.

Step Two: Add the egg and molasses. Mix well, then add the ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, and salt.

Step Three: Gradually add the flour, making sure to scrape the sides of the bowl to incorporate all the ingredients.

Step Four: Scoop the cookie dough in 1 tablespoon scoops and roll the dough in granulated sugar.
