Packed with freshly shredded sharp cheddar cheese, creamy ranch dressing, juicy chicken, and crispy bacon all encompassed within Hawaiian sweet rolls, these sliders are sure to be a hit for dinner or as an easy appetizer!

Why You’ll Love This Chicken Bacon Ranch Sliders Recipe

  • Use Leftover Rotisserie Chicken – Rotisserie chicken adds so much flavor to these sliders! I used a combination of leftover rotisserie chicken and pulled smoked chicken. The sliders turned out SO good!
  • Easy Recipe – You can make this recipe using simple ingredients — shredded cheese, your favorite ranch dressing, and Hawaiian Rolls from the store. Nothing fancy is needed here!
  • Perfect Party Side – This recipe is a great party food dish or an easy dinner recipe!

Ingredients

Ingredient picture for chicken bacon ranch sliders. Hawaiian rolls, shredded cheese, garlic salt, dried parsley, minced onion, pepper, shredded chicken, melted butter, ranch dressing and chopped bacon.
  • Cooked Shredded Chicken – I used a combination of rotisserie chicken and shredded smoked chicken. You could also use leftover chicken breasts!
  • Sweet Hawaiian Rolls or Other Slider Buns – I bought the 24-pack but only used 20 of the rolls for this recipe because that’s how many fit perfectly in my 9×13 baking dish. Use the 4 remaining rolls for sandwiches or as a side with your next meal!
  • Cooked Bacon – Cook the bacon ahead of time and crumble or chop it up!
  • Shredded Cheese – I like to use sharp cheddar cheese for this recipe. Feel free to use another kind of cheese you have on hand! I recommend buying a block of cheese and grating it for the best flavor, but a bag of shredded cheese works fine too if you’re short on time.
  • Ranch Dressing – Grab your favorite ranch dressing or make homemade ranch dressing.
  • Melted Butter – You’ll mix the melted butter with the seasonings listed below. Then you’ll brush it on top of the buns before baking the sliders!
  • Garlic Salt, Dried Parsley, Minced Onion, and Pepper – I use a combination of these seasonings to brush with melted butter on top of the rolls. If you don’t have garlic salt, garlic powder works too. Alternatively, you can sprinkle dry ranch seasoning on top of the rolls!

Instructions

20 Hawaiian sweet rolls in a baking dish.

Step One: Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Remove 4 of the Hawaiian rolls (we only need 20 for this recipe). Then, cut the Hawaiian rolls horizontally and remove the top buns. Set them in a 9×13-inch baking dish. Shred the chicken and set aside. Cook the bacon, chop it, and set aside.

To cook the bacon:

Oven option:

Bake for 20-25 minutes in the oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Set the bacon on a paper towel-covered plate so it can absorb the excess bacon grease before chopping and adding to the chicken mixture.

Stove option:

Cook on the stove over medium heat for about 10-15 minutes, flipping the pieces often until they are nice and crispy.

Step Two: Add the shredded chicken, cooked bacon, and ranch to a large bowl. Mix until the ranch completely covers the chicken and bacon.

Step Six: Melt the butter in the microwave for 20-30 seconds or until completely melted. Add the garlic salt, parsley, minced onion, and pepper to the melted butter.

Step Seven: Add the top layer of the rolls over the cheese and chicken mixture. Brush the melted butter mixture on the tops of the rolls. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Then, take the aluminum foil off and bake for another 5-10 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Hint: Cook the bacon the day before you make these sliders to save time the day of making them! I cook my bacon in the oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for about 20-25 minutes.
